Making advice more accessible

Finance
05 July 2020 5 min read

Financial advice that helps you feel confident about the choices you make now, may help you to feel more secure about the future.

Making advice more accessible

We’ve listened to what our members want us to help them with. Overwhelmingly, you’ve told us that you want assistance and advice about your investment strategy, ways to make the most of your QSuper account, and retirement planning.

So to help more of our members, you can access financial advice and education in the following ways.

QSuper phone advice is expanded

You can make the most of your super, with professional guidance available over the phone. As a QSuper member you have access to QSuper phone advice, available at no additional cost.1 This includes advice about your QSuper account (such as contribution strategies, investment options, insurance and access) and retirement advice such as planning and funding, transition strategies and managing retirement income.

Comprehensive fee for service advice is ceasing

Members have previously had access to fee for service comprehensive advice via QInvest. From 6th July QInvest will no longer be taking new appointments for comprehensive advice.

Partnering with your own financial adviser continues

If you have an existing financial adviser, we can work with them to ensure they have all the information they need about QSuper, your QSuper account, and QSuper benefits you may become eligible for in the future. You can use our authority form (pdf) to give them the authority to speak with us about your account.

Access a range of financial education

This includes:

  • Online seminars offer general advice across a range of superannuation-related topics including retirement planning, tax-effective superannuation strategies and investment insights.
  • News and insights cover legislation changes, finances and investments.
  • Calculators help you explore your options and plan your needs.

With the right information, you can feel confident in the financial decisions you make. Take advantage of these QSuper member benefits.
