FAQs about investment switches

Many members tell us how they want to invest their super – and you may want to as well if you have particular goals for super, such as:

  • Growing your super
  • Protecting your balance
  • Investing more or less in certain assets.

You don't need to choose investment options unless you want to. If you don't choose, we automatically invest your super in our Lifetime option for Accumulation accounts or our Balanced Risk-Adjusted option for Income accounts.

Your investment switch will, in most cases, be reflected on your account within 2 working days after we receive your application. Your balance will stay invested as is until the switch is finalised.

Requests to change your investment option(s) for your existing account balance received by 3pm AEST on a business day will be processed using the valuation date unit price. Requests received after 3pm AEST on a business day, or at any time on a non-business day (weekends or national public holidays) will be processed using the valuation date unit price for the next business day.

You can generally cancel an investment switch request you made in Member Online before 3.00pm (AEST) on the business day we receive it, but not after that time. You can do this via your request history in Member Online. You should also check your future investment strategy as these changes can apply instantly to your account.

No, you don't need to choose investment options unless you want to.

If you don't choose, we automatically invest your super in our Lifetime option for Accumulation accounts or our Balanced Risk-Adjusted option for Income accounts.

If you do want to switch investments, it's easiest and quickest to do this online. However, if you prefer, you can fill in and send us a QSuper investment switch form.
