COVID-19: Impact on insurance cover
COVID-19 (also referred to as novel coronavirus) has been declared a pandemic illness by the World Health Organisation (WHO). This means a pandemic illness exclusion will apply to any new or additional cover that starts on or after 18 March 2020.
This exclusion will not apply to any existing insurance you held prior to 18 March 2020. It also won’t apply to default cover that you receive automatically (or apply for within the first 120 days of starting work) as a result of starting work with a Queensland Government or default employer.
