With more than 100 years’ experience looking after the super of members and supporting employers, QSuper continues to innovate to find new ways to share the QSuper feeling with more Australians.
In a move to seek new growth opportunities, QSuper is engaging in strategic alliances with human resources (HR) and workforce management companies that make it easier for employers to manage their workforce digitally, while gaining efficiencies and maintaining regulatory compliance.
From employee onboarding through to payroll and employee engagement, each of the unique partner organisations solve problems employers face every day. With mutual goals and aligned corporate values, the partnerships deliver growth while making it easy for employees all around Australia to choose QSuper while digitally onboarding into a new role.
While super funds traditionally work directly with employers or acquire members through advertising and campaigns, the partnerships model is an innovative approach by QSuper.
QSuper Head of Strategic Partnerships and Growth, Stuart Clements, said QSuper was committed to building long-term, mutual trust in the partnerships.
We are working with quality partners that reflect our philosophy, values and culture,” Mr Clements said.
The changing workplace
In the post-COVID environment, the rapidly evolving workplace and adoption of new technology by businesses continues to contribute to operational and workplace change.
Within Australia’s changing workplaces, which has included a shift to more employees working from home or remotely as a result of the pandemic, there was a corresponding move by HR teams to increasingly leverage new technologies to deliver superior and enriching experiences for employees.
These new technologies can offer hiring, onboarding, rostering, end-to-end payroll, and workforce management services. They also enable employees to be offered a more holistic and meaningful experience at work that valued work-life balance and employee wellness, along with recognition, acknowledgment, and continuous feedback.
While QSuper may be at the forefront of the superannuation sector in developing such mutually beneficial alliances, using partnerships to drive growth and help organisations benefit from a partner’s complementary skills and capabilities is a growing trend among the Australian business sector.¹
The drivers behind strategic alliances have been varied and includes growth and access to new markets, strategic long-term competitive positioning, convergence of technologies, and complementary relationships.
QSuper’s partnerships
QSuper is committed to building long-term, mutual trust in partnerships to bring true value to both organisations.
All partnerships are unique and parties provide transparency and clarity around business objectives, core capabilities and strategic priorities to ensure certainty around the long-term value of the alliance.
Working with partners collaboratively and cooperatively offers QSuper new and innovative ways to extend our reach and grow.
For employers it may mean introductions to efficiencies across payroll and workforce management companies that may provide benefits to payroll, HR or managing staff through systems such as applications and interviews for new roles, offers and onboarding, members at work, or employees leaving work through redeployment, resignation or retirement.
