Even if you don't work for the Queensland Government, you may be able to choose to apply for income protection cover.

If an injury or illness prevents you from working temporarily, money worries are the last thing you want. This is when income protection insurance can be a huge help. It pays up to 75% of your salary while you’re off work for up to two years. Premiums are deducted from your Accumulation account. If you’re a Defined Benefit account member, your cover forms part of your package of benefits.
