ART honours Queensland public service teams at Premiers Awards

Australian Retirement Trust was proud to honour some dedicated and amazing public service teams through our sponsorship of the annual Premier’s Awards for Excellence in Brisbane on 26 March this year.

The Premier's Awards for Excellence celebrate the outstanding achievements and leadership of those in Queensland's public service across 5 categories:

• Enhancing our lifestyle through planning and infrastructure.

Since 2014, we’ve been pleased to sponsor the Better Health and Wellbeing Services Award, which recognises teams for their commitment to building healthier communities.

ART's Chief of Retirement, Kathy Vincent, was onstage to congratulate the winners, alongside the Queensland Premier, Steven Miles.

Better Health and Wellbeing Services Award

We were proud to help present Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service as the winner of the Better Health and Wellbeing Services Award for its initiative: Real-time images for enhanced patient care: Transforming clinical photography at Gold Coast Health.

The Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service was recognised for the way they are transforming clinical workflows and patient care with their pioneering clinical photography application.

Clinicians can now use their smartphones to take high-quality images that can be uploaded directly to patient records within minutes to support rapid, accurate assessments.

App a testament to embracing digital solutions

The hospital says the app significantly cuts down on manual documentation, printing and storage, reducing administrative burden and freeing clinicians to devote more time to direct patient care.

“This app fosters better communication between clinical teams, ensuring quick access to critical visual information for immediate multi-disciplinary, integrated care,” said Sandip Kumar, Gold Coast Health Executive Director, Strategy, Transformation and Major Capital.

“The app stands as a testament to our resolve to embrace digital solutions, make healthcare more accessible and continuously evolve service delivery to meet and exceed the expectations of the communities we serve.”
