As an Australian Retirement Trust member, you’re winning. We’ve been named Fund Manager of the Year – Multisector at the 2023 Morningstar Australia Awards.
The Morningstar Australia Awards, which were announced on 23 February, are designed to recognise and celebrate the best of the Australian fund management profession, selected by Morningstar’s manager research analysts.
Morningstar said1 that the award recognised “our established and capable team with the ability and scale to invest in long-term assets that aren’t easily obtainable”. Learn more about our investment services team here.
Australian Retirement Trust was created through the merger of QSuper and Sunsuper to become one of Australia’s largest super funds taking care of over $240 billion in retirement savings for more than 2.2 million members.
Morningstar said the award also highlighted the combination of our “sound longer-term performance, the nearer-term uptick from unlisted assets and reassurance from additional internal scrutiny over valuations”.
Focus on best retirement outcomes recognised
Australian Retirement Trust Chief Investment Officer, Ian Patrick, said the award win was another example of our continued focus on delivering the best possible retirement outcomes for our 2.2 million members.
[We are] a fund that works for members with a focus on delivering strong returns to enable a more confident retirement. This prestigious award recognises our commitment to investing in a cost-effective and resilient way over time to deliver that objective,” Mr Patrick said.
“It’s a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the whole team and evidence of how we propose to continue to use our scale and expertise to invest members’ savings to help them to retirement well with confidence.”
This is the first year that a super fund has been nominated for the Fund Manager of the Year – Multisector award, which is a testament to the world class investment capability of our investment team.
