QSuper hosted an inspiring business leaders’ luncheon late in 2020 where some key executives from across Queensland explained how they lead their teams to success.
The event at the Hilton Brisbane was themed around ‘Lessons from the top – leading your team to success’ and the featured panellists were Cancer Council Queensland CEO Chris McMillan, UnitingCare Queensland CEO Craig Barke, and QSuper Chief Operating Officer Karin Muller.
Topics discussed included pivoting to a more flexible workplace, discovering the real value of culture in an organisation, and keeping pace with the speed of business transformation in current times.
Among other top executives to offer their thoughts on the day on a rapidly changing business world were Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association CEO Amanda Mather, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Commissioner, Greg Leach, and Institute of Public Administration Australia Queensland president, Ian Stewart.
Here’s what they had to say:
Amanda Mather, Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association CEO
“We’re keeping the vibe going online, with regular touch bases and
communications.”
Greg Leach, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Commissioner
“It’s all about people. Looking after your people is the important thing.”
Ian Stewart, Institute of Public Administration Australia Queensland President
“Leadership is absolutely critical. Everyone needs to be a leader.”
