Part 1
Terms and Conditions of Entry
- Entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Entry. In these Terms and Conditions of Entry:
- Business Address means 70 Eagle Street, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, 4000;
- Business Day means a day which is neither (i) a Saturday or Sunday, nor (ii) a public holiday anywhere in Australia;
- Eligible Town means any Queensland town, which welcomed the Queen’s Baton Relay. Eligible Towns can be found at www.gc2018.com/qbr;
- Entrant means a person who has completed the Wealth iQ check at qsuper.qld.gov.au/wealthiq prior to 4pm on Friday 23rd March 2018
for Prize A; and prior to 4pm on Wednesday 4th April 2018 for Prize B.
- Entry/Entries means a completed entry form;
- Event means to welcome the Queen’s Baton Relay at the Opening Ceremony of the XII Gold Coast Commonwealth Games;
- Local Organising Committee means the local community committee working with the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Organising Committee for the purposes of the Queen’s Baton Relay;
- Promoter means QSuper Limited ABN 50 125 248 286;
- QSuper Group means the QSuper Board, and any entity:
- in which the QSuper Board holds more than 50% of the issued capital (including in a trustee capacity) (QSuper Entity); or
- that is a subsidiary of a QSuper Entity.
- Unless otherwise specified the times in these Terms and Conditions are Australian Eastern Standard Time.
Eligibility to enter competition
- Entry into this game of chance Competition is only open to persons who:
- are residents of Queensland;
- have completed a Wealth iQ check; and
- are 18 years of age or older
- A completed Wealth iQ check is deemed to be complete if an Entrant has provided their email and phone number, nominated town and has accepted the Terms and Conditions of the Wealth iQ financial check.
- There is a strict limit of one Entry only per Entrant. If multiple Entries are received from an Entrant, only the first Entry that satisfies the requirements of entry will result in the Entrant entering the competition.
- Directors, officers, employees, contractors and their immediate families of any QSuper Group entity are not permitted to enter the competition. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
- The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of Entries and Entrants (including an Entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any Entrant who submits an Entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Entry or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions within an Entry may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter also reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated delivery address, and/or proof of entry validity.
- If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the Entrant.

Game of Chance
- Each Entrant who has completed a Wealth iQ check will be placed into the draw.
- Winners of the prize will be determined by chance. Skill plays no part in determining the winner.
Submission of entry
- An Entrant will enter the competition and be eligible to win a prize, if they enter in accordance with the Eligibility Criteria.
- The competition commences at 6:00am on 03 March 2018 and concludes at the drawing of the final prize at 5pm on Tuesday 4 April 2018 (Competition Period’) at 70 Eagle Street, Brisbane 4000. Any Entry received by the Promoter after this time and date will not be accepted.
- Incomplete or indecipherable Entries will be deemed invalid.
- Entry in this competition is free of charge.
- The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, communication network, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise preventing entrants from successfully submitting an entry or claiming a prize.
Prize Details – 15 prizes in total to be won
Prize A
- There will be ten (10) individual prize draws in the Competition Period whereby each winner will receive four (4 tickets) to the Event and one-night, non-transferrable accommodation at a Gold Coast property (Accommodation). In total 10 x 4 Event tickets and 10 x Accommodation will be given away during the Competition Period (‘Prize A’). The conditions of Prize A are:
- Prize A must be taken on Wednesday 4 April 2018 at Carrara Stadium, Gold Coast. Timings and details of the Event can be found at www.gc2018.com
- Prize A cannot be taken as cash and is not transferrable or exchangeable.
- All costs associated with redeeming the Prize A, including but not limited to spending money and transport to and from the Event are the responsibility of the winner.
- Prize A is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the individual prize and service providers. Acceptance and use of Prize A is subject to all terms of use issued by the supplier/manufacturer of the prize.
- The Promoter is not liable for any ticket that has been lost, stolen, damaged, or tampered with in any way.
- The value of Prize A is the retail price in Australian dollars of up to $1,000 as at 01 January 2018 and the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in value.
- All Prize A Draws will take place at the Business Address at the following times:

- Prize A, Draw 7 – 5pm Wednesday 21 March 2018
- Prize A, Draw 8 – 5pm Friday 23 March 2018
- Prize A, Draw 9 – 5pm Friday 23 March 2018
- Prize A, Draw 10 – 5pm Friday 23 March 2018
- Winners will be contacted by email and telephone during which they will be informed of the Accommodation address. The winners of each Prize A Draw will need to respond to the Promoter within two (2) Business Days.
- In the event that any Prize A Draw remains unclaimed after this time, Prize A re-draws will take place at the Business Address on the following dates:

- Prize A, Redraw 2 – 5pm Tuesday 13 March 2018
- Prize A, Redraw 3 – 5pm Tuesday 13 March 2018
- Prize A, Redraw 4 – 5pm Friday 16 March 2018

- Winners of Prize A can collect their prize with personal identification at the Accommodation address no later than 9am Wednesday 4 April 2018. The Promoter takes no responsibility for the delayed delivery of the prize for reasons outside of the Promoter’s control.
- In the event that any Prize A Redraw remains unclaimed after this time then the Prize A is deemed as forfeited.
Prize B
- There will be five (5) prizes draws of $10,000 whereby the Eligible Town (as specified by the Entrant on their Wealth iQ entry) will be the prize recipient (Prize B).
- The prize draws will be made on the 5pm on Wednesday 4 April 2018 at the Business Address for the purposes of a local community initiative. In total 5 x $10,000 will be given away during the Competition Period.
- The specific terms and conditions relating to how Prize B is provided can be found in Part 2 to these terms and conditions.
- The Promoter will contact the Local Organising Committee in the Prize B winning Eligible Towns within five (5) working days of the prize draw.
- The winners of each Prize B Draw will need to respond to the Promoter within ten (10) Business Days.
- Prize B redraws will take place at the Business Address at 5pm on Monday 25 April 2018.
Privacy and Publicity
- The Promoter is collecting your personal information, so they can contact the competition winner, and, may for the purposes, disclose such personal information to third parties, including but not limited to, agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and as required to Australian authorities. For the avoidance of doubt the Promoter will not disclose Entrant’s personal information to any entity outside of Australia. Entry is conditional on providing this personal information.
- The Promoter will use and handle personal information as set out in its Privacy Policy which can be viewed at qsuper.qld.gov.au/misc/privacy. The Privacy Policy contains information about how Entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their personal information.
- The Promoter reserves the right to publish your name on our website as the competition winner and wherever we display the design in QSuper marketing publications.
- Entrants consent to the Promoter using their personal information, including but not limited to their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes related to this Competition or any matter incidental to it (including any outcome) including sending electronic messages or telephoning the Entrant for an unlimited period.
General Conditions
- The Promoter’s decision on matters relating to the competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
- If this competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the competition, as appropriate, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
- To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible and will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage whatsoever, including but not limited to direct, indirect, or consequential loss or personal injury, suffered or sustained by participants or any other party relating to or resulting from participation in the competition, including relating to the redemption of and/or use of any prize. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any goods or services offered or delivered as prizes.
- Nothing in these Terms and Conditions of Entry limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (Non-Excludable Guarantees).
- In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition or suspend or modify the prize, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory or other applicable authority.
Part 2
Terms and Conditions – QSuper Queen’s Baton Relay Community Prize
Eligibility
- The winning town will be an Eligible Town in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
- An Eligible Town cannot receive more than one Prize B.
- To collect the Community Prize, the winning the Local Organising Committee must submit suggestions from the relevant community for the use of Prize B, in accordance with these Part 2 of the Terms and Conditions (Suggestions For Prize Use), to the Promoter in order to determine the use of the prize money no later than 5pm Wednesday 30 May 2018 (Awarding Date).
- To be eligible to benefit from Prize B, the relevant winning community must be a bona-fide group or organisation put forward by the Local Organising Committee (Eligible Prize Winner). Note: Individuals, students and student groups, and sporting clubs are not permitted to apply to their Local Organising Committee, but the Promoter welcomes applications from parent or teacher groups, community groups and community fundraising committees.
- By applying for the use of Prize B, Eligible Prize Winners agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. If an Application For Prize Use does not comply with these Terms and Conditions, it will be ruled invalid and withdrawn from consideration.
Prize
- The Local Organising Committee for each of the five (5) towns can submit up to a maximum of three (3) Suggestions For Prize Use no later than the Awarding Date to be considered by the Promoter for the use of the Prize B. Only one (1) Prize B equal to an amount of will be awarded per Eligible Town $10,000.
- The Promoter will not be responsible for payment of, or be obliged to pay, any monies in addition to the Prize B amount.
- Suggestions For Prize Use must have a strong emphasis on programs and activities that enhance a sense of community belonging for deserving communities or marginalised groups, in the areas of;
- Prize Applicants must set out in their Suggestions For Prize Use:
- No more than 800-word rationale for the awarding Prize B
- No more than 400-word description of the positive impact or benefit to the community
- List of any third parties who are associated with or involved the receiving of the Prize B
- Cost proposal of how Prize B would be spent
- Key timelines associated with the purpose of the Prize B in line with Funding Priorities
- Suggestions For Prize Use must be accurately and truthfully completed. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of information contained in the Suggestions For Prize Use and to disqualify any applicant that submits Suggestions For Prize Use that is not accurate, truthful or that does not otherwise comply with these terms and conditions.
- The Promoter will consult with the Local Organising Committee to assess the Suggestions For Prize Use. The ultimate decision as to who the Prize B will be awarded to, and the amount of the Prize B is at the ultimate discretion of the Promoter, and guided by the Funding Priorities and organisational purpose of the Promoter which can be viewed at any time on the website at qsuper.qld.gov.au.
- By submitting Suggestions For Prize Use, consent to the Promoter and the Local Organising Committees disclosing the information provided in the Suggestions For Prize Use for the purposes of reviewing, processing and awarding the prizes and any other matter connected to or incidental to the prize.
- Eligible Prize Winners may be contacted by Promoter or one of the Local Organising Committees, and/or their representatives, directly for the purpose of validation of information contained in the completed Suggestions For Prize Use and due diligence. All completed Suggestions For Prize Use become the property of the Promoter.
- Eligible Prize Winners must submit tax invoices to the Promoter in accordance with any directed requirements. The Promoter will not make any Prize B payment until it has received a valid tax invoice from the Eligible Prize Winner.
- Eligible Prize Winners should check the nature of any supply made by the Promoter with their taxation adviser. Notwithstanding, any prize from the QSuper Queen’s Baton Relay Competition is a ‘gift’ and gifts under income tax legislation do not attract GST. A receipt may be requested by the Promoter to confirm arrival of the gift.
- If, at any time, the purpose of the Prize B funded project no longer exists, or the project is no longer able to be achieved in the manner described in the completed Suggestions For Prize Use, the Eligible Prize Winner and Local Organising Committee must advise the Promoter to discuss alternate options.
- In accordance with the timelines as directed from time to time by the Promoter, the Eligible Prize Winner must provide the Promoter with a post project evaluation report outlining what Prize B has achieved.
- The Promoter may vary the amount of the Prize B at any time and at their sole discretion.
- If Prize B monies have not been spent in accordance with the approved Suggestions For Prize Use, the Eligible Prize Winner must repay the full or relevant part (whichever is applicable) of the Prize B to the Promoter within thirty (30) business days after it receives a formal notice from the Promoter.
Publicity
- If the Eligible Prize Winner receives a request from the Promoter for public acknowledgement of Prize B, the Eligible Prize Winner agrees to comply with any such request and provide such public acknowledgement.
- All material, use of any Promoter logo (if applicable) and/or any reference to the Promoter by the Eligible Prize Winner, must be submitted to, and approved by, the Promoter prior to use.
- The Eligible Prize Winner shall not do or say anything or cause anyone to do or say anything that may prejudice, or be detrimental or cause damage to, the name and reputation of the QSuper Queen’s Baton Relay Community Grant Programme 2018, the Promoter or the Local Organising Committees.
- The Eligible Prize Winner agrees to provide assistance with any promotional or marketing campaigns being run by the Promoter in relation to the QSuper Queen’s Baton Relay Competition. Upon request by the Promoter the Eligible Prize Winner agrees to supply photos, quotes and other materials as requested (Marketing Materials), which will become the property of the Promoter for use in marketing, promotional, advertising and other related purposes without any payment being made to the Eligible Prize Winner. The Eligible Prize Winner agrees to obtain all necessary consents from third parties to enable the Promoter to use the Marketing Materials.
- The Eligible Prize Winner consents to the Promoter, the Local Organising Committee and its government and commercial partners taking images of the project funded by the QSuper Queen’s Baton Relay Community Prize, and that any such photographs or video footage may be used by the above organisations for use in promotional, advertising or marketing materials, without any further notice or payment to the Eligible Prize Winner.
General Conditions
- The Promoter is not liable for any loss, damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with, or as a result of, Prize B, use of a Prize B, or participation activities or initiatives funded by the Prize B
- The Eligible Prize Winner agrees to indemnify, and keep indemnified, the Promoter its officers, employees and agents against any loss, liability, injury or death incurred by the Promoter including any loss or damage to their property, or loss or expense incurred by them in dealing with any claim against them) howsoever arising from or in connection with any acts, omissions and/or negligence of the Eligible Prize Winner, its employees or its agents in relation to Prize B.
- The Eligible Prize Winner must keep and maintain adequate insurance (including public liability insurance) for the activities carried out in relation to this program, or projects the subject of this program, against any claims for loss or damage to property and/or injury or death to persons.
- An authorised Promoter or Local Organising Committee representative may, where appropriate, visit the proposed Eligible Prize Winner’s site in which the Prize B is to be used before, during and after the funding period, at times agreed by both parties.
- Prize B can be suspended or terminated at any time by the Promoter without notice.
- These terms and conditions may be amended or withdrawn at the discretion of the Promoter. In such instances, revised conditions will be published at qsuper.qld.gov.au/campaign/wealthiqtandc. Applicants should visit the website from time to time to review the current and effective Terms and Conditions.
