QSuper was ranked Australia’s best performing fund in yesterday’s Chant West short-term returns analysis, but as always, it’s important to remember superannuation is a long-term investment.
The report showed QSuper had posted a strong comparative return of 12.7% for QSuper’s Balanced option during 2014, outperforming the average 8.5% return for other funds.
This is a great result, but we don’t believe performance over any 12 month period is the best measure for success. Our focus is on the long term and how well we perform for members against the long term investment targets we set.
The 10-year objective for our Balanced option is CPI +3.5% (after fees and tax) and with consistent returns above 11% over the past three years, we are on-track to meet this target.
We will always be focused on delivering you consistent and stable returns over the long-term, and encourage you to look at longer-term performance as the most meaningful measure of success.
