QSuper CEO Rosemary Vilgan was recently named the 2013 Telstra Queensland Business Woman of the Year.
Rosemary was singled out for her outstanding contribution to Queensland's business community and her innovation and drive in her role as CEO of Queensland's oldest and largest superannuation fund, most recently highlighted by the launch of QSuper Lifetime – the new, lifecycle investment approach tailored to meet members' needs throughout their different stages of life.
As a technical specialist who helped establish QSuper in 1990, Rosemary became CEO in 1998 and has steered the development of the Fund to be one of the largest in the country and consistently delivering improvements for members.
Chairman of the QSuper Board of Trustees, Bob Scheuber said the honour was well deserved.
"As one of the leaders in the superannuation industry, this award is a testament to the hard work and dedication Rosemary has shown for more than 20 years," he said.
"Rosemary has driven the development of superannuation and it is her vision that will hopefully allow many Australians to retire with more certainty."
In addition to the 2013 Telstra Queensland Business Woman of the Year award, Rosemary also won the Business Innovation Award and the Community and Government Award.
Her wins will see her proceed to the national final in Melbourne on 14 November.
