Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk with representatives from the G20 Communications team alongside QSuper CEO Michael Pennisi. The Customer Focus category was one of five categories that form the Premier’s Awards for Excellence.
The Queensland Police Service’s G20 Group Media Communications and External Engagement Team were awarded top honours at the Premier’s Awards for Excellence and QSuper was there to cheer them on.
The team was named as the winners of the QSuper ‘Customer Focus’ category of the Premier’s Awards for their outstanding contributing to the G20 Summit, singled out from a finalist pool made up of their government peers.
They were recognised for their open and respectful engagement with lobbyists, community leaders, the public, official dignitaries and media in the lead up to and during the economic talks, attended by numerous world leaders.
It was the first time the G20 Summit, held in November last year, had been hosted in Brisbane and was reported as the state’s largest ever peacetime security operation.
As well as this award, the team also won the Excellence in Performance, Excellence in Leadership and the overall Premier’s Awards.
QSuper CEO Michael Pennisi was thrilled to present the award to the G20 Group alongside Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk at the awards ceremony held earlier this month.
We’ve been a proud sponsor of these awards since 2006 and are honoured to help acknowledge the achievements of the Queensland Public Service, all of whom are our members.
Congratulations to the other finalists in the Customer Focus category:
Well done to BreastScreen Queensland for their highly commended nomination.
